Christmas in July

Hello stampers,

Today is Christmas in July! It's never to early to start thinking about Christmas cards. The stamp I used today is retired but is one of my favorite Christmas stamps. I have done the dove in the traditional Christmas colors like below, but also in shades of blues, purples with accents of yellow or gold.

Dove of peace

Home Sweet Home Challenge

Hello fellow stampers,

Today we are here with a Home Sweet Home challenge with the DOstampers. Circles & Butterflies are the focus for today's card. I did use the "Happy Birthday" greeting from Guy Greetings. Butterflies are from the Watercolor Wings and the leafs in the circles are from Awesomely Artistic. Card base and first layer are in Crumb Cake, and the Hardwood stamp was stamped off once time, also in Crumb Cake to give it a softer look. Butterfly colors are Wisteria Wonder, Blushing Bride and So Saffron. Leaves are in Pear Pizzazz. I took a couple close up photo's of the card so you can see how pretty the butterfly wings are with some Wink of Stella on them. I decided to forgo the butterfly antenna and used some gold metallic thread.

Color Challenge

Hello stampers,

It's been awhile since I sometimes gets in the way of stamping. It feels good to get back in the stamp room.  This week is a color challenge with one of my favorite colors...Melon Mambo, along with Basic Black and Whisper White. being summer I decided to go with butterflies and Potpourri Papillion has a wonderful variety of butterflies.  Before I stamped the butterflies I used the honeycomb from Butterfly Basics with Smoky Slate and stamped off once first to make it lighter, then I stamped the large butterfly with the Melon Mambo, then the smaller butterfly is still in Melon Mambo but I stamped off once first again to make it a lighter shade. I cut my butterfly collage into 3/4" strips and layered them on the Basic Black card-stock, tied Whisper White satin ribbon (retired) around it with a fork bow and then layered that onto Melon Mambo card-stock card base. Cute & quick card that can be used as a thank you, birthday, or any occasion.

Thanks for stopping by today and happy stamping,
