Hello stampers,
It's been awhile since I posted...life sometimes gets in the way of stamping. It feels good to get back in the stamp room. This week is a color challenge with one of my favorite colors...Melon Mambo, along with Basic Black and Whisper White. being summer I decided to go with butterflies and Potpourri Papillion has a wonderful variety of butterflies. Before I stamped the butterflies I used the honeycomb from Butterfly Basics with Smoky Slate and stamped off once first to make it lighter, then I stamped the large butterfly with the Melon Mambo, then the smaller butterfly is still in Melon Mambo but I stamped off once first again to make it a lighter shade. I cut my butterfly collage into 3/4" strips and layered them on the Basic Black card-stock, tied Whisper White satin ribbon (retired) around it with a fork bow and then layered that onto Melon Mambo card-stock card base. Cute & quick card that can be used as a thank you, birthday, or any occasion.
Thanks for stopping by today and happy stamping,

Hello stampers,
I am back again this week for a sketch challenge. I am going to a baby shower and needed a card so that is the focus for this week. Stamp sets Something for Baby and Made with Love worked perfect. Don't forget the coordinating Baby First framelits. I also used Circle framelits and Circle punches this week, along with Crystal Effects to add a little more shine.
Thanks for stopping by and make sure to check out more inspiration with the other DOstampers.
Until next week...happy stamping,

Hello Stampers,
Today’s challenge is a “Color My World” with Early Espresso, Delightful Dijon, and Marina Mist. To me the colors are very masculine and I thought to combine it with upcoming Memorial Day and used the For My Country stamp set. I combined it with a sentiment from For All Things. This card is truly quick and easy and would be very good for a beginner.
I stamped my soldier with Early Espresso on Delightful Dijon card stock and then crumpled it up and used dimensionals on some Early Espresso card stock with the bottom hand torn. I stamped off one time before creating my own background paper on Marina Mist card stock with the tags and then used the paper snips to fussy cut an extra set out. Add a few candy dots from the neutral collection completes the card. I stamped my sentiment on the inside of the card.
Make sure to place your order soon for the For Your Country stamp set and candy dots, as they are both on the retiring list.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great stamping day,

Hello stampers,
The Grateful Bunch stamp set is quickly becoming one of my favorites! The inspiration for today's DOstamper challenge is "Home Sweet Home"
At first I was going to reach for the Rose Wonder bundle but ended up focusing more on the the colors that popped out to me...Calypso Coral, Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight and Pear Pizzazz. To make the card I used emboss resist technique. I first masked off an area, then stamped my image with Whisper White Craft Ink, added clear embossing powder and set with the heat tool and before removing the mask sponged with color, then repeated the process for the other two sections. It really did not take long at all. I spent more time deciding how to embellish the card and ended up with pearl accents and simple white ribbon.

Hello stampers,
Today's challenge is a sketch pad challenge and I flipped one of the Delicate Ornament Thinlets over to use as a hot air balloon. I also used the Sunburst thinlet as a template and sponged the area in-between with So Saffron ink on So Saffron card-stock. I also used the negative image of the cloud from the Tree Builder punch to sponge some clouds in Marina Mist on Soft Sky card-stock. I used Cucumber Crush and Watermelon Wonder card-stock under to balloon and added a couple of candy dots.
have a great day,

Hello again,
This week is a Home Sweet Home challenge which pretty much was a no brainer for me...By the Tide. Absolutely love, love, love this stamp set and I'm sure hoping it does not make it to the retiring list. Only used two colors, Night of Navy and Whisper White. I didn't have any regal candy dots left so I attempted to use a stampin write marker and color a few perfect white accents and it didn't turn out so well, even smudged a bit on the card, but you live and learn and move on.
I always look forward to Thursday and seeing what other DOstampers come up with for these weekly challenges, so be sure to check out more inspiration from other DOstamper Stars,

Time for a sketch challenge:
Today's sketch challenge was difficult for me at first because I actually found it kinda boring and had to really think how to stay close to the sketch but decorate it up a bit. I thought using the Home & Hearth framelits with the Happy Home stamp set worked out perfectly. Since the window is looking outside, I tried to use the textures on the Mint Macaron cardstock to make it appear like wallpaper inside a home. I am soo ready for Spring and wanted my tree to appear like it is blossoming and used the Many Marvelous Markers to color on the stamp, then used sponges to fill in the sky and grass area's. Always need some sort of embellishment and the Mint Macaron Dotted Lace Trim is absolutely gorgeous in person, the photo's in the catalog do not do it justice !!! A few flowers from the Itty Bitty Punch Pack, add some Pearl Accents and voila! card complete.
